My Good Fortune

I am SO excited!

I have wanted to see the musical Wicked ever since my friend Rebecca gave me the soundtrack for my birthday a few years back. I would even go so far as to say that it is my dearest wish to see this musical. You can imagine how thrilled I was to discover that the show was coming to Utah!

However, I didn't get tickets. And now, the show is sold out.

I thought it was too late.

Until today!

I opened a fortune cookie and could not believe what I read...
The cookie has spoken!

Wicked
, here I come.

I saw on the news that 20 tickets were held out for each show. They have a drawing before each show and whoever has their name drawn gets to buy two tickets. I swear they said these tickets were $25 each! We're going to try it. It's been my dream too. Good luck!

I am still kicking myself in the butt for not going to see it 2 years ago while I was in Cali. The motel was about 2 blocks from the theater. It was in such a crappy area I didn't go.

Also good luck to you. I hope that you get the tickets to go.

I could have gotten tickets 6 months ago with a pre-sale to educators, but I didn't. I SUCK! I was like- who will go with me-Next time I will ask Gerb first! DUH!
I think that I was being stingy 6 months ago- no- wait- I remember- I had to repair my car and it cost like $300.. I always feel poor after repairing the car!

Good luck! I saw Wicked in London with a friend - I had to convince her that she HAD to see a show while visiting and we actually only saw it because it was right next to our hotel and that way we wouldn't be out travelling the tube at 11pm. It was fantastic! Hope you're dream comes true!

Holmes- I heard about that, too. I just couldn't live with the devastation if my name wasn't drawn. Good luck to you!

Cami- I hope you're happy... I hope you're happy now! I hope you're happy how you hurt your cause forever... I hope you think you're clever! (sorry, your last line made me think of it. I couldn't resist!)

H.L.- Bummer! Crappy areas in California can be scary, though - if you didn't have a bodyguard you may have made the right call.

Maleen- You'll be the first to know!

T5th- Why, thank you! (I think)

Amber- You'll be the second to know!

Lena- You know we would totally ROCK the audience with our singing under our breath! They'd wonder why we weren't up on stage... either that or we'd get kicked out. Either way, it sounds like fun!!

3under2- I agree! I'm waiting for the tickets to appear in my next fortune cookie. Woo hoo!

MnM- I am slightly jealous. Okay, REALLY jealous. But I'll get over it and we can still be blogger friends. =0)

How does the musical compare to the book? I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters in the book. Kinda icked me out at times too.
