Catching Up

Holy mackerel.

I have written at least 14 blog posts in my head over the last week, but I can't get them written out in the same way they play out in my mind.

So, until I am able to organize my thoughts into words, here is a little snippet of what I was able to enjoy up at Camp MIA Shalom all of last week - an amazing group of Youth Camp Leaders. They were an outstanding group of young women who worked together very well. This is a clip of the cheer they came up with for our last flag ceremony. (I love these girls!)

You see what I'm saying? Awesome.

Awesome, indeed! Trees and cheers remind me of the many summers I spent at Camp Fire camp in the California foothills. What great fun with a great bunch of friends.

Glad you had a good time and welcome back!

Originial and cute. Gerb must have had an influence here.

Wow, Ashley even did the cheer! Good job Gerb!

Pam- Thanks!

Bec- Actually, NO Gerb influence. They came up with this all on their own!

GaeLynn- Ready for this? Ashley helped WRITE the cheer. I'm not even kidding. She even got girl lessons from Sis. Gren. You may notice her using the words 'cute' and 'precious' more often.

Serously, just pour some more salt on my gaping wound!

I just keep thinking, "Let Rob have his time with the scouts, and when he's done, it will be my turn with the YW (and hopefully my girls)."

I was lucky enough to grow up in Provo/Orem and go to MIA Shalom. The spirit is trapped in that bowl and I miss it so! Oh the memories! I know it is thanks to great leaders like you!

Oh, that makes me smile!!! I miss camp so much. I really want to go again next year!!!!

Cami- You know, if you didn't up and LEAVE US, you probably would have been there! (p.s. We missed you, too.)

Cara- I also LOVE the spirit there at MIA Shalom. It is an amazing place, that's for sure. And I think it's largely due to the awesome girls who bring that spirit with them. Thanks for coming by!

Chelle- Is it just me, or was that the most amazing group of YCLs? I guess we can both hold out the hope of going again next year... (fingers crossed!!)

How cool! And I'm experiencing the same overload from our back to back trips to Tenn and Ca...where to start?!
