I had my kids deliver some thank-you cards for me on Saturday. At one stop, All-a-Boy chatted with one of his former cub scout leaders."Hey, Brother M, how's the new calling?"
"Good, All-a-Boy, how's the new baby brother?"
"He's good. And my mom's losing weight, so that's good."
Awwww, shucks. I didn't know he cared.

A couple of my kids were really good at telling me how big my belly was getting during my pregnancy, and now they're giving me reports on the shrinkage, too. I haven't considered what they might be reporting to other people about it, though...
Sometimes I don't know why you let that boy go out into public...
I can't tell which I admire more: your losing weight or that your thank-you cards are already delivered.
Gerb, you never cease to amaze.
If we only knew all the things our kids say when we aren't around...then again...its probably better that we don't!

Wouldn't you love to be a Sunbeam teacher? they get all the dirt...

You'd think I'd have learned by now, wouldn't you?

You are too kind.

I love when people tell me what my kids said, like in this instance. I am still laughing over how awkward ElemenoB says Brother M. looked after All-a-Boy's revelation.
I'm not too surprised, considering the source. I still remember some funny things I've heard him say at family gatherings (no worries - nothing personal).
That is too good. If it weren't for him, we would never know what our children are really thinking. Thanks All-a-Boy.
That is hilarious. I think I will keep the things H tells me in Sunbeams to myself... and Randy. And a few other people in the ward.
Ha. Just kidding. The only one that has revealed anything funny is Sally O., when I was asking H about his new little brother, she proceeds to tell the class that her Mom has said she is not having "ANY MORE BABIES!". I have yet to confirm this rumor.
