I agree! In the teachers lounge the day "Mitt quit" we all came to the general agreement that there's no one we agree with enough to feel good about voting for. Scary's the perfect word for it.
Oh my goodness!!! This is the scariest thing that I have seen in a very long time!!! Oh, my...what are we going to do--who are we going to vote for--what is this world coming to??
Great post! I agree. I don't know who to vote for anymore. I will NOT be voting for Huckabee. McCain may be an option, however if he picks up Huckabee as his VP, there's no way I'll vote for him.
So, you see my delemma. How about you? Any idea on who you'll vote for?
I will try to keep this answer short. I do not like ANY of the remaining candidates, with the exception of Ron Paul. Unfortunately, there's no chance he's gonna win. So, who am I left with? McCain (when I look at him I honestly get the creeps - that gut feeling to RUN! as far away from him as I can...), Huckabee (no way), and the democrats: Clinton (like GA said, "SCARY!") and Obama (I don't agree with & even OPPOSE most of his points of view). So, no one would represent me and what I value. I can NOT bring myself to vote for ANY candidate, so I think that for the first time since I became old enough to vote I will be staying home on election day.
And on Huckabee: I think he's on to McCain. McCain's an old man, and if (heaven forbid) he were to become president, it would wear him down fast. Once he croaks, it's President Huckabee.
All I can do now is hold on to the hope that in 2012 the world will have had its fill of terrible leadership and Mitt Romney will finally get his turn in the White House.
In short, my plan is to hunker down and pray a LOT to make it through the next 4 years.
Can't we just vote AGAINST candidates this time? And can't we have more than one vote, this time? I'm afraid of not voting Mitt really let us down. Is this a fake hang-up, Mitt?
Conservatives have lost this election. I feel bad because I didn't even get a vote (Texas primary is in March). I will vote and write in Romney's name, not cause I am an LDS loyalist in my vote, but because he was the right candidate.
I refuse to vote for McCain now or in the general election. I will vote a write in (Romney) or a 3rd party candidate.
I absolutely do not want a HillBilly White House, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen.
I am hoping for an Obama win just because it will allow conservatives a chance in 2012 just like in 1980.
No matter what happens I feel a dark cloud on the horizon for the next four years.
When I pulled up an article on the internet with this accompanying photo, my 5-year-old said, "Whoa, Mom - that is SCARY!"
