Some days we forget
To look around us
Some days we can't see
The joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves
We take when we should give.
So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be.
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see.
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.
What things are you grateful for? What makes YOU happy? Make some time for those things in your life - I know you won't regret it.
To look around us
Some days we can't see
The joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves
We take when we should give.
So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be.
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see.
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.

Are you sure those jeans came from Aardvark's?

That's one of my favorite songs. I love it!
Chip-
Those jeans were in addition to the pair I stole from you.

Aren't the lyrics beautiful? I still love that song.
I can't even read that word--what in the world does it mean? I'm guessing it has something to do with a big watery eye...?
Amen!!
I love Groban singing Thankful. If you go to the songwriter's site (Carol Bayer Sager) she used to have a link to a great slideshow set to that song. There's so much to be thankful for.
Which pair? From my bottom drawer or my suitcase? You're welcome to steal my jeans anytime. How ironic, now I'm the one who has gene envy.

I love that you wrote in a Happy Book. And I think it's interesting to go back and review to see if those things still make us happy. Clearly Canadian? I haven't had one of those (or thought of them) in ages. Wow.
The desert does that for me. Seeing the sun setting and casting it's last rays on the amber and magenta sandstone cliffs...
...now that is happiness!
