In Retrospect
Have you ever wished you could write your past self a letter? Perhaps offered some much-needed advice?
I have. And I did.
Come see what I had to say to myself over at Four Perspectives!

Ah, Gerb...this photo is absolutely priceless!
Yeah, it's an old favorite. It expresses the '16-year-old Gerb who didn't understand why she couldn't get a date' very well.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I love the old pictures you post. You were a crazy teenager, and still are crazy. Crazy=fun, right?
I think I had those exact same glasses!
Steph- Crazy=fun. Exactly.
Holmes- I think anyone who owned glasses in the 80's had those at one point...
I like the Sally Jesse Rafael glasses!
Were you at the Cotton Shop yesterday? I saw your car in the parking lot as I was leaving. I love that store!
Dear Gerb,
Sometimes, I haul out the laptop, turn it on, plug in the internet card, and wait for it to pop up on the screen. Then I click "connect", wait for it to connect, wait for it to update, then I click on firefox. When it finally loads, I see my blog pop up on my homepage. I scroll down until I see your link. I click on it. I read it. I feel an emotion - happy, sad, worried. Then I shut everything down and continue on with my day feeling lifted a little higher because of your insight or opinion or your cute family. You are great. I do not yet have the courage to speak to my 16 year-old self....someday though....
PS. I'm loving 4Perspectives too!!
Cari- I actually saw you looking at thread but by the time I made my way over there you had disappeared! I love that store, too. It was a good day to shop!
Sarah- Thank you for totally making my day. I think that is the grandest compliment I could be paid (besides something like, "You look like Elle Macpherson"). Thank you SO much.
